About

🌱 Our Mission

At Steady Together, we believe no one should face neurological challenges alone. Our mission is to bring people together, share knowledge, and encourage practical strategies for living well with Spinocerebellar Ataxia (SCA), Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Friedreich’s Ataxia (FA), Multiple System Atrophy – Cerebellar type (MSA-C), Parkinson’s disease, and Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP)..

This support group was founded by Brett Blakeway, who is studying to become a certified health and wellness coach through Precision Nutrition, with a focus on diet, exercise, and lifestyle. Diagnosed with Spinocerebellar ataxia (SCA) in his early 20s, Brett faced significant challenges with coordination, balance, and daily mobility. Through resilience, adaptive strategies like physical therapy and mindfulness, and the power of community, he transformed frustration and isolation into a renewed sense of purpose. Brett is passionate about helping people with neurological conditions, such as SCA, MS, or Parkinson’s, build resilience and live fuller, more empowered lives by sharing practical, empathetic guidance drawn from his own journey.
